Our support staff create the friendly atmosphere you can count on during your appointments and the administrative excellence you need to keep up to date with your pet’s health plan. We take great pride in our elevated standards of care and our valuable bonds with our Florence families.

The best veterinary care for animals is ongoing nutrition, exercise, and proactive wellness care, so becoming knowledgeable about preventative pet care is essential to the ongoing success of your animal’s health.
Dr. Ryan Andrews is one of our Associate Veterinarians here at Westside Veterinary Clinic. He graduated veterinary school from Mississippi State University and has spent his career learning how to provide the best care for your pets. If you ask Dr. Ryan what his favorite parts of being a veterinarian are, he will tell you that he loves building relationships with clients and he loves spending time performing surgeries.
When you meet Dr. Ryan, he will always spend the time to make sure you know the best options possible for your pet’s care. He will also make sure to help you find alternative treatment options if needed in case the “ideal” plan may not be realistic for you.
Dr. Ryan is a Mississippi native, and he met his wife (Dr. Mary Andrews) while in veterinary school at Mississippi State. Shortly after graduating, Dr. Ryan and Dr. Mary got married, did some traveling, and then finally settled down in the low country. They have three amazing kids together and they recently purchased a farm!
For hobbies, Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and working on a veterinary telemedicine platform he created called ReliaVet.
Dr. Mary Andrews is our Medical Director and an Associate Veterinarian. She has passion for Senior Pet Care, Dentistry, Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Dr. Mary Andrews earned her degree from Mississippi State University, where she also met her husband and fellow veterinarian, Dr. Ryan Andrews. After graduation she completed a specialty internship focusing on emergency medicine in San Antonio, Texas and has since worked in general practice.
Dr. Andrews is known for her compassionate approach and dedication to her patients, always striving to improve their quality of life and the human animal bond. She is excited to meet and serve the community here in Florence, SC.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Andrews enjoys spending time with her family on their farm and relaxing at the beach. Drs. Ryan and Mary Andrews have three children and many animals including dogs (Dachshunds and Doodles), cats, chickens, goats and horses.
Slade brings a strong background in business and leadership to his role as Practice Manager. Before joining our team, he served as a Regional Director for another veterinary company, where he gained extensive experience in clinic operations, team development, and client care. Earlier in his career, he also managed multi-billion-dollar foreign commercial real estate portfolios, sharpening his skills in operations, problem-solving, and client service. Today, he combines this diverse expertise to ensure our clinic runs smoothly and that every client and pet feels supported.
Outside of work, Slade is passionate about animal welfare, with a special focus on Pitbull and Bulldog advocacy. He is dedicated to breaking down stereotypes surrounding the breeds and promoting responsible ownership. As the proud owner of four Pitbulls himself, Slade’s love for animals goes beyond the workplace, fueling his commitment to creating a positive and caring environment for pets and the people who love them.
Amanda has been caring for furry friends at Southern Paws AMC for the past 6 years. As a skilled veterinary technician, she puts her lifelong love of animals to work, ensuring each patient receives the compassionate treatment they deserve. When she’s not on the job, you can find Amanda out on the open water, casting a line and soaking up the sun!
Austin is a compassionate and skilled veterinary technician with 1 year of experience in animal healthcare. With a deep passion for animal welfare, he is dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and ensuring they receive the best possible medical treatments. When he is not here at the clinic, he loves spending time with his wife and beautiful daughter. He also has four dogs and three cats that he loves dearly. He looks forward to seeing all the clients and patients.
Inga has been a dedicated Veterinary Assistant for over 10 years who loves providing compassionate care for every patient. Inga began working at Southern Paws AMC in June of 2025.
At home, she’s a proud pet parent of two cats and a loveable Pitbull. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her enjoying music, thrifting vintage finds and watching true crime documentaries.
Meet Chris, a passionate veterinary assistant at Southern Paws AMC! With a love for all animals, especially wildlife and cats, Chris is excited to bring their years of experience to the team. When not caring for furry friends, you can find them reading, painting, or enjoying music. Proud pet mom to a turtle named Elliot and a playful kittens named Coal and Ashe. Chris is also currently in enrolled in a veterinary technician program and hopes to obtain their LVT. Fun fact: Chris has a love for deer!
Lyndsi’s passion for animals has fueled her 3-year career as a customer service representative at Southern Paws AMC. She brings joy to both pets and their owners every day. When she’s not caring for her own three pups – Tehya, Dakota, and Thor – you can find Lyndsi indulging in her favorite hobbies like horseback riding, arts and crafts, and softball. But her greatest joys in life come from her loving family, including her kids and husband. Fun fact: Lyndsi has an identical twin! With her unwavering dedication to animal welfare, Lyndsi is a true asset to the SPAMC team.
Ashley is a dedicated and compassionate professional in the field of veterinary medicine, with three years of experience working in both veterinary clinics and doggie daycare. Her hands-on background has given her a well-rounded understanding of animal care, from medical treatment to daily enrichment.
She has two beloved dogs, Bella and Chloe, and a curious bearded dragon named Echo. Her pets are a big part of her life and inspire her passion for animal health and well-being.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing games and spending time with her friends and family. She values connection, both in her personal life and in her work.
Ashley is deeply committed to helping her community by sharing her knowledge and promoting proper care for all pets. Whether it’s answering questions, offering advice, or providing support, she strives to make a positive impact on the lives of both animals and their owners.
Meet Briana! With 7 years of experience in customer service, Briana is dedicated to ensuring that every pet parent has the best possible experience. Whether you need assistance with appointments, have questions about pet care, or just want a little advice, she’s here to help with a smile and plenty of expertise.
Outside of work, Briana loves Disney, The Sims, and singing in her spare time. She’s always up for belting out her favorite tunes or creating virtual worlds. At home, Briana shares her life with two dogs, Omega and Delta, and a turtle named Franklin.
With her combination of experience, passion for pets, and friendly approach, Briana is here to ensure your experience is smooth and positive. Fun fact: before becoming a part of SPAMC, Briana was a groomer for 5 years!
Tara brings warmth, compassion, and a lifelong love of animals to her roles here at SPAMC. After a 30-year career in education, Tara followed her heart into veterinary medicine and has quickly become a dedicated advocate for both pets and their people.
With one year of hands-on experience and a genuine passion for learning, Tara is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster, expanding her skills and knowledge to better serve every patient she meets. Whether she’s assisting in the exam room or offering comfort at the front desk, Tara’s goal is always the same: to care with love, compassion, and dedication.
When she’s not working or studying, Tara enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and loving on her three beloved dogs.
Fun Fact: Tara has two grown children—Brayson and Paxton —who make her proud every day.
